Without a doubt, The Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn is one of London’s most exquisite hidden treasures. And as a wedding venue for either your civil ceremony or as a reception venue it really is hard to beat. The society was founded well over six hundred years ago and can be described as an oasis of calm hidden in the very centre of historic London.

It’s one of the four Inns of Court, and as such has a rich and colourful history in maintaining the independence, quality and integrity of the Bar and the Judiciary. Walking into Grays Inn can feel a little like walking onto a period drama film set.

Some of the exquisite stained glass windows in the main Hall date back to the mid 1400s. The ‘Armada screen’ is believed to be made of oak timbers from a captured ship of the Spanish Armada and given to the Inn by Queen Elizabeth I. In many ways the main Hall has changed very little since Elizabethan times, except of course that now you able to have it as the backdrop to your wedding.

They have a dedicated team at Gray’s Inn to help you make arrangements for the day. Aside fro the tranquil and beautiful setting of the Elizabethan Hall, you can also choose to use the Large Pension Room which includes use of over 5 acres of gardens in the summer months.
